inspired by amy butler

There are some really generous people out there. The Wedding Chicks have so many templates to personalize that most of our wedding will be filled with their designs. Hostess with the Mostess often posts free downloads to make my party that much prettier. And Amy Butler has inspired me to use my sewing machine and create something with her free sewing and craft patterns. One sewing pattern - the hourglass pillow - was my first project.

I picked patterns that I liked without giving too much thought to where I was going to put my new pillow. But I did love the combination.  I cut out the fabric as the pattern specifically and easily told me to do.

I pinned, I sewed and I stuffed.

My new pillow!! The only variation was that I did not include the button in the middle; I just didn't want it. But thank you Amy Butler, and if you keep sharing, I'll keep sewing!!

  1. I am such a huge fan of Amy Butler's fabric and paper prints. Even more of a fan because she shares her patterns!! Nice work on the first (of many, I'm sure)pillow.
