inspired by southern hospitality

Rhoda at Southern Hospitality has given me plenty of inspiration to keep this blog going for a long time. Her adorable office is actually a small nook near the laundry room. My favorite part of the area is the rich wallpaper but mine already has stripes which are staying for years to come! Rhoda has a large bulletin board and it reminds me how much fun it is to make one of these. So I went looking around the house to see what I could make.


I found this old gold picture frame and packed away was this cutesy fabric (J is not happy with the color scheme going into this room).


First, I cut the batting the same size as the board. Then I cut the fabric with a one inch frame around the board.


After securing the edges of the fabric to the back of the board with regular transparent tape (that's what I had, ok!), I took some ribbon and secured them to the back of the board.  I painted the frame with a gloss white because I plan on placing this on a grey way.



Place the patted fabric board into the painted frame and my new bulletin board is ready to hang.
