inspired by tying the knot

The best part about getting married is being with my best friend for the rest of my life. But the second best part of getting married is all of the creative details of our wedding day. As a self-proclaimed crafter, I want to start with the save the dates. Our wedding colors are navy and chartreuse, and our guest list is currently at 560! So in order to make our save the dates, I needed some help.

I ordered postcards from Wedding Paper Divas, String Bow in chartreuse, for 80 cents each! I then made my weekly trip to Paper Source and picked up cover paper in Night. Originally, I had planned to emboss white lines on the pages but that was becoming a huge mess when every small particle of powder was melting on the paper.
Solution: I made straight lines instead with a white ink pen.
I then attached the postcard to the paper. And a special touch: I'm lining the white A6 envelopes (ecru sample used here for visual only) with Paper Source Hydrangea Wrapping Paper. That's next weekend's project ... Stay tuned for the envelope design!
