When someone asks what's up with the status of wedding assignments: I'm working on it. I've been ordering rentals, getting bridesmaids dresses, deciding on invitations, attending classes, budgeting, and even counting squares on the floor to design the reception layout. With all of this fun in between work and other things that make us happy (half marathon #9 completed on Sunday!!!), I've been keeping you in the dark. I promise to be better. Really, I do.
So let me interrupt your scheduled blog browsing to make an admission: I've reached out for help. I just can't do everything and when you're guest list is pushing 600, you need to wave a white flag. So for the bridal shower invitations (again, my mom can't be left to do this on her own) and wedding invitations, I found the most beautiful options for us. Obviously, I will add my personal touch somewhere, but here is what you'll see in the coming months.
Wedding Paper Divas is hands down one of my favorite sites. In one week, I ordered, approved and received my bridal shower invitations. How cute are these?
For us creative folks, choosing a wedding invitation can be overwhelming - and expensive! But when you expand your search, Etsy is a wonderful option. I found an incredibly talented artist selling her designs on Etsy for a reasonable price. Foglio Press is only selling on Etsy at this time but you can see some of Sarah's beautiful and creative designs on her website.
