One of my employers kindly let me borrow 11 apothecary jars until May for the bridal showers and wedding. These jars look so much better when you fill them with stuff so I need to get creative if I'm going to make them look good without spending a fortune. I also used this opportunity to work on my
blanket stitch, something that looks amazing when completed but that I never mastered.
To make this project, I purchased a few pieces of felt and cut hearts freehand. If you need a template,
Disney has a good one with different sizes.
I utilized some of the extra string that I get with sweaters and shirts, practicing my blanket stitch around the hearts.
The final step is a little stuffing and one last stitch to close up the heart. These are great to make while sitting on the couch watching Season 2 of Mad Men .. I'm just saying.
