craft: artwork update

(Today I make do with what I have on hand.)

I have a bad habit of starting projects and only going half way because there is a minor component missing to finish. That is the case with the livingroom gallery wall; I spent one evening outlining all of my frames on paper and hanging up empty frames. And that's where it stopped. For about three months.

In preparation for our Lazy Day Labor Day BBQ, I needed to dress those frames. I painted two old frames white and covered the mats with burlap.

The generosity of the blogging community has given me plenty of material to work with for inspiration. A great big thank you to eighteen25 for the free download used below (which comes in different colors).

The second print includes leftover fabric used in making our program attendants' bags. For now, the frame will hold our family 'C' in paper.

The result: two inexpensive pieces of personal art to finish off the livingroom gallery (you'll have to wait for that one).

September is just getting started! The Whole EnCHELLEada moved in for the month and we can't make any promises as to how creative it's going to get ..
