Since a good amount of my commute time is spent on Pinterest, I thought it would be nice to gather a collection of Fall and Thanksgiving projects that shouldn’t take much time. Once the kiddos or husband are fast asleep, a few pumps of the hot glue gun or snips of the scissors can easily add a festive update to your home. Here are some of my favorites.
Grab a kitchen plate and vase, pick up a few pumkins at Trader Joe's and clip a branch from your changing trees. Make a tablescape with materials you have laying around the house.
Sparkle can add BIG impact to your Fall decorating. If you visit a local craft or dollar store, you are likely to come across glittered pumpkins like the ones below. If you find simple orange ones, grab a can of glitter paint and give them a makeover.
Don't be intimidated with this entrance. All you need are a few pots of mums and pumkins. Scatter about at your front door and you have yourself an entrance people! When it's time to put up the holiday lights, gather everything and throw it into your yard waste. Easy decorate and easy clean! (Extra credit if you use cabbage.)
One of my favorite things about the season is the changing of the leaves, and in California, there's about a week where they finally change and then they just fall. Enjoy them just a little longer by framing behind glass. This should take you about five minutes of craft time.
Three easy steps: click, download and print. Since you can easily find replacement downloads for most holidays, invest in three frames and change them out!
