diy: holiday evergreen centerpiece

Decorating our house during the year can be challenging and I tend to change my mind often, but when it comes to the holidays, the direction is clear! Green! Red! Gold! Silver! The problem with the holidays is that people tend to go a little overboard but since my regular style is casual, it's hard to keep the holiday decorating at a less-than-nauseous level.

Since I don't like my tables "set" for meals that aren't taking place yet, I like to keep our table simple with just a runner and centerpiece. With the holiday flare, I whipped up a centerpiece with materials I had on hand: a long platter, branches from our Christmas tree, a cake stand, candles and tree ornaments.

  1. Lovely centerpiece. This year, we are trying to make some Christmas table decorations out of what we already have. I think some greens with candles and christmas balls can make a great centerpiece. Thanks for sharing inspiration. Have a happy Holidays!
