wedding: something blue ...

We're back with a download of wedding goodness! As we reviewed last week, A and D called for IHB reinforcements to put a few personal touches to their beautiful farm wedding. One project included adding little flags to 265 Susie Cakes cupcakes. Easy as .. um, pie. We picked up a box of 800 toothpicks for $2 and one roll of washi tape from Cutetape to create the flags. One roll = 240 flags. Amazing.

My favorite project was the escort jars! The bride had this great idea to include a small mason jar with a everyone's name on a Cutetape tag. The grey and white Divine Twine bakers twine is from Whisker Graphics. (Note: one spool tied 230 mason jars and 240 invitations, with enough twine leftover for more projects!)  We printed out the numbers on cardstock and punched with a circle punch, and then glued them to the top of the jar.

Guests filled their jars with Jelly Belly flops, a locally-made candy!

And the award for most fun project: DIY mercury votives! We were incredibly inspired with all of the tutorials available on the Internet (here, here and here). But the bride and her mom had to scour the ends of the world to find the mirror spray paint needed to make the "mercury" look. Then when it was time to create mercury glass, our fingers turned into mini mirrors. So cute!
