wedding: something borrowed ..

Tuesday, August 14, 2012

This weekend, we celebrated with our friends A and D as they were married at a beautiful farm in Suisun Valley, California. The wedding was especially precious to me as the bride and I have become very good friends in the last year while we were planning the details of this special day.

Before I share the projects that were created for this one-of-a-kind wedding, I'm starting the week by sharing the journey of the 'just married' banner that has now visited its fourth wedding. I created the banner last year when we got married as a picture prop.

A few months later, our friends A and R were married in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley and borrowed the banner as a prop on this vintage Fiat.

This summer, The Whole EnCHELLEada and her groom hung this lovely on a rustic mantel behind the sweetheart table, where they enjoyed a view of their guests!

Just a few days ago, A and D welcomed guests to their sugary dessert table with the burlap banner attached to an old-door-turned-table. (More to come about those amazing little cupcakes!)

There really isn't anything that I enjoy more than to share these little things with my friends - in this case, three dear friends were able to use a piece of my wedding day at their special event. Do you want to make one for the bride in your life? Click here to follow the steps on how I created this simple burlap banner.
