guest contributor: oh, this old lamp?!

A big welcome to IHB guest contributor, Kimie. Read how she took a hand-me-down and turned it into a chic and modern piece for the family room.

I inherited this clay-colored lamp from my mom years ago. Its days of taking up space in the garage were numbered the minute I saw the post from Christian's blog, Bless Our Nest on Pinterest

After a quick trip to Home Depot to purchase spray paint (Rust-Oleum Painter's Touch in the color leafy green and finish in satin), I got to work. A couple of pieces of tape and a few coats of spray paint, and she was almost complete!

A new, modern shade really completed the look for me! I am so happy that I hung on to the lamp for so many years (literally, years), and now it's such an important focal point in our house!

Happy spray painting!!
