craft: how to accordion circles

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

The highest form of flattery for this little blogger is a simple, "how did you do that?" Thanks to a comment yesterday asking for details on how to make these circle accordions that I used on this year's Halloween mantel, I want to make sure you learn too.
First you need one (1) sheet of paper cut to the following specifications:
When finished, you will have two (2) 6" x 5 1/2" accordion sheets. Take those two sheets and fold them again, just freehand. Get a good fold there.
Then you need to make these two stay together. I use Scotch Quick Dry Tacky Adhesive for all paper products! If the pesky paper gives you trouble, use a staple in the back to keep it together. Glue at the following four places:
Add some jazz to the circles with free printables from online, like the bounty of ideas that I have collected on Pinterest.
