friday centerpiece: spring carrots and flowers

I always had this idea to showcase a DIY centerpiece once a week and start a series here on the blog. Maybe I'll start today. Let's make it a Friday thing. Sure, I guess we can do that.

Centerpieces and arrangements range from a series of items grouped together (some say vignette is a good word to use here) or a simple little arrangement with outdoor goodness. This week, it includes an unused vintage soda box and the carrots that I forgot to put out this year for Easter (tutorial here).

Because there just wasn't enough carrots to fill up these little compartments, I picked up the season's favorite inexpensive flower - the daffodil. At $5 for three bunches, I used an assortment of already open blooms and can't-wait-to-see you versions. I filled unused whiskey cups with water in the six center compartments and just played around with the arrangement.

The result is an incredibly simple centerpiece for your table that adds fun color, uses those items around the house and makes you look really put together (No worries. I won't tell anyone.) ! Happy weekend!

I have a little divided box that will be perfect for this idea.

    Thanks for the inspiration.
